A man accused of impersonating Deputy President William Ruto Wife- Rachel Ruto Court has been arraigned in court.
However the suspect, Michael Mito Atito did not answer to any charges as police brought him under a miscellaneous application.
In the application, the investigating officers say that Atito allegedly opened a Facebook account claiming that he was supporting the less fortune in the society by giving out free motor vehicle (Lorries) that were to be registered in the names of beneficiary.
Investigation Officer, George Chai says that they need more time to complete investigations which include contact members of the public who are said to be victims of the scam and conduct identification parade of the suspect.
The officers also want to obtain M-pesa account details of the suspect confirming the transaction and record statements of the key witnesses who are residing at Kisumu County where the suspect was arrested.
The court was told that there are other suspects still at large.
Magistrate Muthoni Nzibe allowed the application and detained the suspect for a period of three days to allow police conclude investigations.
