Murang’a Team beat odds to Qualify for National Super League

For the first time in history, a team from Murang’a will play in the National Super League.

Murang’a Sports Excellence Academy Ltd, otherwise known as “M-Seal FC”, a football club in Murang’a has been promoted to the second tier FKF National Super League after it emerged top in Zone A of Division One level.

The team’s coach Mr. David Maina attributed good performance to support from the community who largely contributed their resources to ensure the team attended all games and trainings.
Coach Chege is also optimistic that the team will sail through to Kenya Premier League on their NSL debut. “We have hopes M-seal will sail in NSL and join premier league after next season.”  He said.

He also decried poor stadiums within Murang’a and Kiambu counties challenging county governments to improve playgrounds.

“The grounds where matches are being played are not of required standards and as we are geared to nurture talents among young people, we yearn for better stadiums,” noted Mr. Chege.

M-Seal which was founded in 2016 by Sportpesa’s Chief Legal Officer Mr. Robert Macharia is also planning to build a sports academy in Murang’a worth KES 350 million targeting young and talented boys and girls, nurture them and take care of their education.
