Fame is a strange friend, and it can come and go without warning. Luckily, Mike Tyson’s found the winning formula for staying relevant in the 21st century.
One, be an unlikely convert to weed culture and two, have a podcast. Tyson’s taken it a step further too, by using the former-heavyweight playbook and throwing in a unlikely name-branded product, in this case the Tyson Ranch, his sprawling 407 acre weed resort.
When complete, the Tyson Ranch will include a large hotel, 200 glamping units, a huge lazy river, a host of tourist attractions and the Kind Music Festival, a cannabis based retreat that includes cannabis samples, music, cannabis health info and more.
The ranch will be in sunny Southern California, where cannnabis is legal for recreational purposes. The ranch will also be used as a research and educational centre for cannabis, which Tyson says has been a huge help to him medically.
In an interview with Cannabis Tech Today, Tyson said: “I thought about how much good I could do by helping people with cannabis. It was a no-brainer.
“I’ve been fighting for over 20 years, and my body has a lot of wear and tear. I had two surgeries and I used marijuana to calm my nerves, and it would take the pain away… But before, they had me on those opiates, and those opiates had me all screwed up.”
