Raila ready to welcome Jumwa ‘back home’, asks her to apoligise to ODM

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is ready to have Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa back to ODM.

The former Premier said Jumwa will only be reinstated as an ODM party member after she sends an apology to the party.

The party’s National Governing Council on March 1st said Jumwa had been expelled for gross misconduct.

Jumwa was accused of supporting DP William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid.

Speaking on Tuesday morning when he visited the scene of Toi market fire, Raila further called on ODM leaders to restrain from commenting on matters before courts and tribunals to avoid interference.

Sonko assured the country that DP Ruto and ex-PM Raila should be respected by all leaders; calls for national unity and end to ethnic based politics.

He however warned people from castigating President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government.

He also hit out at suspects linked to the corruption scandal at the National Youth Service (NYS) saying if it were not for the stealing of public funds, the slum upgrade project would not have stalled.

“We will not allow people from fighting the government of President Uhuru at the expense of development of thew country,” he stated.

“Tutaanzisha hio mradi tena ili tuweze kuboresha maisha ya watu wa Kibera (We will start the slum upgrading project again to ensure that the lives of Kibera residents are improved),” he said.
