Migori Governor Okoth Obado free to travel from his county after the high court lifts 20-kilometer boundary restriction that was imposed on him.

The Governor had been barred from traveling to Homa Bay County where the late Sharon Otieno – whom he was accused of murdering – hailed from.

In an application seeking to have the bail terms reviewed, Obado has also gotten his travelling documents.

Obado had been arguing that told the court that Migori is comprised of eight constituencies and the big portion of the five border Homa Bay County which means the restriction which bars him from being within 20 kilometers of Homa Bay County means he can’t serve his constituents.

The Governor who was released on sh5 million bond, had also not been accessing his rural home in in Rapogi because it is outside the 20-kilometre radius Judge Lessit said he should not breach lest he is thrown back to Industrial Area Remand Prison.

Obado, his personal assistant Michael Oyamo and Migori County clerk Caspal Obiero are jointly charged with the murder of Sharon and her seven-month-old foetus, Baby Sharon.
