Uhuru awards Senator Sakaja for Exemplary legislative work

Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja is the recipient of the Presidential Award Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear as a recognition to his  continued legislative work over the last 6 years.

The legislator was given the award on Wednesday in the by Speakers Justin Muturi (National Assembly) and Amos Wako (Senate).


“I’m honored and humbled to have received the award of Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear as a recognition of my legislative work over the last 6 years. I’m encouraged to do more and keep doing my best in service to my people and my country.” He posted.

Having served as Nominated MP for five years and now as Senator, Sakaja has drafted atleast three bills that has eventually been passed into law.

The Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear is the second highest category of the awards which is equally divided into the Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear (C.B.S.), Elder of the Order of the Burning Spear (E.B.S.) and Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (M.B.S.).

It is usually awarded to citizens who have performed remarkably in their different lines of work and career in ways that bring positive impact to the nation.
