President Uhuru Kenyatta’ nephew and Private Secretary Jomo Gechaga and Aide de Camp were over the weekend barred from using the main entrance of the 32nd Heads of State and Governments Summit at the AU.
The two were following other Heads of State in attendance of the summit who were heading to a conference hall but were barred by security officials outside the room.
In a video the two are then seen walking away from the crowd of dignitaries trying to find their way into the hall.
It is not known if the two men always by President Uhuru eventually gained access or gave up.
Opposition leader Raila Odinga was also in this year’s summit in his capacity as African Union High Representative for Infrastructural Development.
