Murang’a is seemingly a hot bed of modern day politics even from the show of things matters interests expressed in various leadership positions.
This was attested to on August 28th when TARDA Chairman and former Kigumo mp Jamleck Kamau hosted some leaders in his rural home.
Jamleck, a supporter of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government hosted former PS Irungu Nyakera, Murang’s Senator Irungu Kang’ata and Sports CAS Zack Kinuthia.
The leaders then had a chat and later on enjoyed cosy photo moments at the Makomboki residence.
The politicians had attended a burial of a prominent tea director in the area where they all steered off politics.
After the meeting, Nyakera shared a message saying he has no bad blood as was being insinuated by political brokers.
“Yesterday we rested Moffat Kamau in Makomboki. There is a certain naughty young man who tried to sow seeds of discord between me and Hon Jamleck Kamau .He failed miserably.” He said in a post.
The three Irungus have all expressed interest in the Governor seat come the 2022 general elections.
Of the three, Jamleck will be seeking election in the same seat for a second time after he lost to the current Governor Mwangi wa Iria in the 2017 party nominations.
The politician did not however go past the nomination despite a court ruling that stated there was massive irregularities.
