Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko is not new to controversy and seems to thrive in it.
The governor was recorded hosting a group of pastors in his house to pray over the division brought about by the revenue bill.
However his choice of words in the video has left many Kenyans express distaste with the Jubilee leader who at some point went ahead to mention National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale
The governor has been on record criticizing Mps over the current impasse on the Division of Revenue Bill 2019.
The county boss further said that it was hypocritical for MPs to demand salary increase and more allowances yet they are against the allocation of resources to counties.
Here are some of the reactions;
John Olwanda Jr.Why should you pray with abusive language Mr. Governor. God is not a joker that we may joke in our prayers.
Mercy NjokiWooiii. Whoever bewitched Kenyans must have been paid well.
Chichi Chirie And when you pray go to your private place..your closet don’t be like the teachers of the law who want to be seen praying in the synagogues…at least this is what my bible says.
Severina Sangurikuri It doesn’t matter what the intention was. But I am glad that every knee was bowed and the name of Jesus was exhaled ?? Amen.
Jentrix Chebukati-Okeyo Sometimes I wish God would strike down hypocrites just like in the olden days.
Peter OduorNairobi is governed by an artist, a comedian and a cartoon. That’s him, we should never blame Governor Sonko instead to pray for him. I can’t cast aspersions or judgement to Hon Governor, he is a man with a big kind heart.
